A light well is what brings daylight deep into a building, and that is what a well-installed window should do for your home. The crew at Lightwell Windows Ventura was put together around that idea. We are not a rotating cast of subcontractors. We are a small, steady group of installers and coordinators who know Ventura’s coastal air, its older beach cottages, its stucco tract homes on the east end, and the specific ways marine moisture works on window frames here. Keith Yamada has worked alongside most of this crew for years, and each person on it was hired because they care about the details that show up after the job is done, not just during it.

Our People
Luis M. – Lead Technician
Luis has been setting windows and doors along the Central Coast for over 18 years. He started as a helper on a framing crew, moved into finish work, and eventually found his way to window and door installation because it rewards patience. He is certified on PGT and CGI impact product lines, which matters for homeowners from Ventura up through Ojai who want windows rated for high wind and flying debris. Luis is the person on a jobsite who notices a quarter-inch reveal that is not quite right and fixes it before the caulk is even open. Outside of work, he coaches his nephew’s youth soccer team at Ventura Community Park.
Dan R. – Senior Installer
Dan came to Lightwell from a background in custom cabinetry, so his eye for fit and finish borders on obsessive. He specializes in retrofit window replacements in Ventura’s older neighborhoods, including Midtown and the Avenues, where homes from the 1940s and 1950s rarely have square openings. Dan is the one who will take 20 minutes to shim a frame so the sash glides properly a decade from now. He handles Therma-Tru door installations as well, and he keeps a trim nailer in his truck that he has owned longer than some of our apprentices have been alive. He restores old Honda motorcycles on weekends and has strong opinions about marine fog and bare metal.
Carmen T. – Service Coordinator
Carmen is the voice most people hear first when they call Lightwell Windows Ventura. She has been coordinating service and installation schedules since 2016 and is fluent in both English and Spanish, which helps when she is walking a homeowner through the timeline for a whole-house window replacement. Before joining the team, she worked in residential property management in Oxnard, so she understands what it is like to be the person responsible for a building that needs work done right the first time. Carmen keeps the job calendar honest: when she tells you the crew will arrive at 8:30, that is a commitment, not a guess. She is also the mother of two teenagers, so she is very good at scheduling around chaos.
Joey A. – Apprentice Installer
Joey is the newest member of the crew and grew up in Ventura, which means he has been around old windows his entire life. He started with Lightwell about 18 months ago and has spent most of that time learning the fundamentals from Luis and Dan: how to remove a window without damaging the surrounding stucco, how to flash an opening so water moves away from the house, and how to clean up so thoroughly that a homeowner would not know anyone had been there except for the new window. Joey is working toward his manufacturer certification with ES Windows and ECO Window Systems. He is the one who double-checks that every drop cloth is in place before any work starts, and he takes the photos of the job site once clean-up is done.
One Standard, Every Job
Every technician who works under the Lightwell name in Ventura follows the same set of on-site rules we call the C.A.R.E. values. C: clean up like it is our own home. That means shoe covers at the door, drop cloths on the floors, and a photo of the finished clean-up before we leave. A: ask before we move or touch anything, whether it is a piece of furniture or a strand of Christmas lights still hanging in June. R: respect the family’s time and quiet hours, which means we keep tools at a reasonable level during a baby’s nap and we use pet-safe caulk and sealants wherever there is a choice. E: explain the price before the work starts, every time. These are not suggestions. They are the same standard the Cedarwell network has operated under since 2010, and Keith Yamada has applied them to every job this crew has touched in Ventura. If the finished work is not right, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we make it right. No debate, no countdown, no fine print. If you want a written price before any work begins, call (559) 257-2350 and ask for Carmen. A live person answers, day or night.
